The weekday child care provided by St. Anne's Child Care Center is an integral part of the ministry of St. Anne's Episcopal Church. What started as a babysitting service in 1968 for the women of the parish who were involved in the church's volunteer lay ministries in the community, became a full-time center for child care throughout Winston-Salem by the mid-'70s. St. Anne's Child Care Center's purpose was then, and continues to be, to provide a loving, happy, and challenging atmosphere in which to serve children of all races and of any religion or creed.

At St. Anne's Child Care Center, we value and celebrate cultural diversity and accept children of all economic circumstances. Our goal is to provide a flexible "play based" environment where children can learn at their own pace. St. Anne's Child Care Center is a small, 4-star, licensed Center (capacity 49) with a low teacher/child ratio.

Days and Hours of operation

St. Anne's Child Care Center's hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for designated holidays and professional days.

Eligibility

Children ages six weeks through five years are accepted for enrollment at St. Anne's Child Care Center on a first-come first-served basis. When spaces are not available, a child can be placed on the waiting list for a fee. This fee is non-refundable but will ensure a child's consideration of placement as space becomes available.

Quality Staff

St. Anne's Child Care Center strives to provide the Center's children with the highest quality staff possible. All of our teachers have their Early Childhood Credentials as well as yearly re-certification in CPR. Our staff also is required to be certified in basic first-aid with re-certification every three years. St. Anne's Child Care Center's teachers attend workshops throughout the year to learn new ways to enhance their roles as educators and nurturers. Our Center supports and encourages the continual education of our teachers.
